Family Feud Freezes For a Moment

On last nights episode of RHONJ we saw Italian family feuding freeze for just a moment. Even in Jersey where the drama is never dull and the housewives are over the top, we view family unity at its best. Sister In laws Teresa and Melissa who have been biting each others heads off for the greater part of the season, seemed to set their differences aside last night. Fans were left wondering if this would in fact be the finale of the family feud we've viewed through the season.

Melissa and Joe Gorga through an even more over the top, then over the top Christmas party on last nights episode. The event was hinted to costing somewhere in the $50,000 range and was fully fashioned with carolers, ice sculptures, super good-looking star servers and even a step and repeat Posh photo op. Melissa made sure she included a charity in her holiday party and asked each guest to bring a gift to be given to children's charity St Joe's children's hospital. Every one Melissa and Joe knew were invited, even including Teresa and Joe Giudice.

Teresa and Joe showed up "tardy to the Party" but none-the- less, they showed up. Every one seemed to be on their best behavior and cordial kisses and hugs were exchanged. In a blink of an eye, the party was put on pins and needles and in walked Kim G, with Monica ( the attorney suing the Giudices) as her plus one. Viewers were appalled by the bad behavior of Kim G. The Manzos, The Giudices and even the Gorgas gasped with disapproval when Caddy Kim G entered irritatingly along with her guest.

Families fight and feud, its a fact of life. But blood is thick and families don't appreciate when one of their own gets attacked. Whether or not Melissa and Joe have agreed to get along well with the Giudices isn't relevant when it comes to others attacking or hurting them. As soon as the Gorgas realized Monica was at the party, the two went to work swiftly to remove her from their home. They repeatedly asked her to leave the party and suggested to Kim G it wasn't a wise idea to have brought her. Regardless of her feelings towards Teresa, Melissa fled to her families defence and for her fabulous behavior this Team Teresa fan is giving Melissa Gorga SNAPs of approval.

Whether or not the family feud has ended still remains to be seen. But blood is definately thick as thieves and you do NOT mess with an Italian jersey Family. As Jacqueline put it. Kim G needs to realize she is messing with a family. Kim G gets the GAG thumbs down for her bad behavior. Watch RHONJ on Sunday nights on Bravo for all the action.

Have you asked yourself lately where Charlie Sheen has been? Just a few months ago he was platered all over the tabloids, on our TV screens and on our morning news. Then the hype about Sheen siply slipped away. News has it Sheens got a new gig.

While CBS hit show "Two and a Half Men" said "see ya" to Sheen, apparently Sheen picked up the pieces brushed off the dust and moved on full speed ahead. Joe Roth, who produced many of Charlies movies came knocking at Sheens door and gave the guy a gift. A new main roll in a hit new series where Sheen will repotedly have "a signifigant ownership stake" on the show. The show is a spin off of the comedy hit movei "Anger Management". The original movie starred Adam sandler and Jack Nicholson. Sheen is reported to be playing a man with severe anger managemnt issues. Some say the role is perfectly suited to Sheen.  Roth said hes thrilled to work again with Sheen and apparently Sheen feels  the same.

Charlie Sheen has had his moments in the past however he seems to come through without a scratch and now is being given another chance to prove his talent to thousands of fans. Gay and Giving Blood

GAY and GIVING BLOOD!

Recently Aaaron Pace a 22 year old from Indiana went to "Bio Blood Components Inc." to donate blood. When he was in the interview process he was rejected and wanted to know why. He was told that he appeared to be gay and for that reason was not allowed to continue to donate his blood.

While this may sound like discrimination to most, surprisingly it is not. According to a law passed by the FDA in 1983 all men who had sex with other men since or beyond 1977 were banned from giving blood. The law was passed because at the time there was no way to test the blood to ensure it was not HIV positive. With the growing epidemic at that time of AIDS the FDA thought it be best if Homosexual men were banned from giving blood.

Pace was outraged for 2 reasons. One, he said "Its not right that homeless people can give blood but homosexuals can't" and two because he said "and I'm not even a homosexual." According to the "Chicago Sun Times" he is "admittedly and noticeably effeminate, however he says he is not gay.

Unfortunately that isn't the point here. According to recent studies hospitals lose hundreds of thousands of pints of blood each year due to homosexuals not being allowed to contribute blood to needy banks. It's ludicrous to not allow someone to perform an act of kindness based on his/her sexuality. We have come so far towards breaking barbaric barriers down and now celebrate every ones right towards equality. Same sex couples can now wed in many of our states and so many feel less alone due to an outpouring of love supporting all sexualities. This FDA law is primitive. It certainly served its purpose in 1983 when we had no way of knowing if blood would test positive for HIV. No one would want HIV to become an enormous epidemic again. However now our resources can test the blood in the banks and ensure it is pure to give to those in need. Anyone willing to give blood to save another human life should be given the right to do just that. The FDA needs to review and reevaluate this law. Think of the many lives that could be saved by eliminating just one little law. The FDA is getting the GAG thumbs down. Time to get with the times...everyone healthy should be able to DONATE BLOOD!

By now viewers of Bravo reality series RHONJ know very well new housewife Melissa Gorga. She made quite an entrance this season as the "not so nice" sister-in-law of every bodies favorite "Jersey girl", Teresa. Since the beginning of the season Melissa has made it clear she isn't a fan of the "Fabulicious", fearless Gorga family and insists aside from her husband Joe Gorga) they have made it hard for her to feel a part of the family. Previous to this season Teresa had no intentions of airing her dirty laundry , so to speak, and never breathed a word about the feud between the two families. However, Melissa barely had her five minutes of fame before she made it clear to fans her feeling towards Teresa. The two have since sat together to try to mend family drama and disputes, but it still seems tensions are higher then usual and fans feel there's still feuding to come in the future. What will happen in the season to come, only the housewives truly know. We will just have to watch to see where the two families wind up.

Besides the feuding families, fans were also given the fact that Ms Melissa aspires to be a singer. During an episode this season her husband Joe, shushes the children so sweet Melissa can sing her unique version of long time Bible hymn "Amazing Grace". Most of us who have heard the hymn before haven't exactly heard Melissa's "special version of the song in where she replaces the word "wretch" with the word "wench". Some may say it was an appropriate exchange of words since fans aren't exactly sure if the housewife has the best of intentions when it comes to her relationship with Teresa. None-the -less despite the humorous word play the housewife went forth exploring avenues for her "talent".

In last nights episode Joe ( Melissa's husband) decides that he will deal with Melissa's dream of becoming an aspiring artist by building her her own studio in the families basement. Gorga believes his wife has a place at home with her children as a mommy and making money as a musician should come only second fiddle to him and his children. Apparently the construction will continue and Joe decided that building his wife a studio for her singing was still a good idea.

Melissa invites a buffet of music talents to the Gorga house to hear her new single "On Display". The song is somewhat of a project in the works but if viewers watched a snip it of the song during "Bravo Andie's" after show, we see the reaction of the audience was NOT exactly what one would call one on the positive side. Still her family and friends insist she has an amazing gift, but we just haven't apparently heard it as of yet. Joe Gorga has said that his wife has got "the whole package" and in her defense, there are many famous artists in the world today who have made it simply because of their good looks, the fact they can carry a tune and a little thing we'd like to call electronic enhancement. fans of the RHONJ will just have to see if Mrs Melissa Gorga has what it takes to become the "super star singer" she apparently thinks she is. Any day now gorgeous girl Victoria Beckham will be giving birth to her gorgeous baby girl. In a recent article in "Woman's Wear Daily", Victoria said she wasn't a big fan of showing off her baby bump in photographs. Apparently her Hot hunky husband David didn't get the memo. Recently David posted a picture of the former Posh spice girl on his Face Book. Victoria looks ravishing in a beautiful black and white photo taken of the expectant mother. The picture actually looks like a professional photograph, but then again when you're taking a snap shot of someone as stunning as Victoria Beckham its not so difficult to capture a perfect picture.

Victoria is due any day now and yet looks even more lovely then usual. She recently announced she was starting a new line of dresses. She said she wanted "The perfect little summer dress, something that was fun, something that was girly, something that was easy to wear, something that would take you from day through to night." The designers new line is said to be geared towards a younger buyer. Its less expensive and not nearly as form fitting as her normal creations. The dresses will be priced between $550 - $900 , they'll be bright color 60s style and some will even include the popular cartoon character "Emily the Strange" (created by Cosmic Debris). 

The Posh designer cleared rumors when she spoke to Vogue recently about baring her pregnancy in the buff. The designer said she had no intentions of posing nude while pregnant and she wasn't really interested in the idea of showing off her baby belly at all. Victoria was reported to have a due date of July 4rth at one time but  those rumors were cleared up as well. The Beckham's will be expecting their daughter any day and the world is waiting with bated breath to get that first glimpse of little baby Beckham. Every time you turn on your television these days it certainly seems you can count on seeing Jennifer Lopez. She's a super sexy Latin beauty with killer legs and a fabulous figure. Better known to her fans around the world as "JLo" it seems the older Lopez gets, the more people learn to love her.

Lopez started her talented career as one of the "Fly Girls" in the popular comedy TV hit "In Living Color." She didn't have much air time and wasn't given any lines to read but if you were alive in the 90s then you knew who the "Fly Girls" were and every female 8 - 80 wanted to be one. Shortly after she began dating Sean (Diddy) Combs and appeared in his video. By 1997 Jennifer Lopez was a name everyone knew due to her perfect performance in the role of a lifetime as "Selena". Her performance in "Selena" got the attention of millions around the world as well as some pretty impressive film directors. Soon she would be playing roles opposite some of Hollywood's Hottest celebrities, such as (George Clooney 1998,"Out of Site"), (Jim Caviezel, 2001 "Angel Eyes"), also (Matthew McConaughey, 2001 "Wedding Planner"), (Ben Affleck, 2003 "Gigli"), and ( 2005 "Monster In Law", with Jane Fonda).

Critics said once Simon and Paula left the show last year that the show wouldn't be the same. They feared the show would soon flop and would be off the air in a matter of time. The critics turned out to be right about one thing. The show certainly hasn't been the same without Simon and Paula. And, although viewers have admitted to missing the sexual tension between the two, none-the-less the show has still remained on the top and viewers vow they love it even more. She adds fashion and flavor to the new and improved "American Idol". Lopez shows her softer side by encouraging contestants to keep on living their dreams. On the other hand if you haven't got what it takes to "make it", having the fabulous former "Jenny from the Block"  deliver the news makes making a fool of yourself on national television well worth the pain considering. 

Besides being beautiful,  multi talented, and having fame and fortune Jennifer is married to singer, songwriter, gorgeous guy, Marc Anthony. Who wouldn't want to be a fly on the wall in that super hot celeb couples home? All talent, beauty and fortune aside, they appear to be completely in love. In fact, the two seem different then most celebrity couples and pride themselves on keeping a happy marriage. In February of 2008 Lopez gave birth to twins, Emme and Max and the happy family spends as much time together as possible. In a recent interview Anthony said that his wife makes a beautiful and amazing mother and the family is incredibly happy.

Jennifer Lopez is over forty now and looks even better then the "fly girl" we met almost two decades ago. Her career has certainly surpassed several other super star celebs and she doesn't seem to be slipping away any time soon. Her journey with American Idle is only beginning while she has become a seasoned singer/actress and the demand for J-Lo is if anything unbelievably impressive. Her fans are hip hop pre teens as well as moms grandmas and men of all ages. Lopez has a true talent that appeals to a buffet of followers and her talent is totally timeless. It takes a special kind of something to have a career that withstands the test of time. However when you put in the mix beauty, sex appeal, multiple talents and a likable appealing personality, you will no doubt create someone exactly like Jennifer Lopez. Why do you love Justin Bieber?

Are you a "Bieber" follower? Are you a fan of Justin Bieber? If you are reading this then chances are you most likely are. Justin Bieber, no doubt has had an influence on his many fans around the world. His followers have practically taken over "twitter" tweeting their love for his music and for him as well. There are countless twitter followers using his name sake for the title of their profiles from "cantBeliebit" to "BieberMemories" and "Biebertweet." They have never ending growing number of followers, some upwards of six figures and they tweet day after day messages about Bieber and to Bieber.

Bieber certainly has made an impact on the youth of the world. He was born and raised ( well partially raised since he still is considered a child) in Canada, but seems to have become a super star internationally in America, Japan, Poland and just about anywhere there are teenagers and music. Face book pages are by the millions filled with pictures, stories, and everything  Justin Bieber. It would be almost impossible to actually try to take an accurate count of exactly how many millions of sites there are solely dedicated to just Justin Bieber. 

There's no denying "Bieber" fever has simply swept the nation and weirdly the whole world as well. There is defiantly something special about him. He is a tremendous influence on the youth of the world. He certainly uses his fame and fortune for good. He always keeps close to his fans which is a fantastic way for a famous artist to act. And he seems greatly grounded, which makes him more appealing to moms with teenage children. So here's the question that is so very important for me to ask. I would like to write an article about exactly what it is about Justin Bieber that makes his fans fall madly in love with him. I am completely open to any suggestions. A Little Advice on Marriage Proposal

According to the "Odessa American" beloved receiver for the Dallas Cowboys Roy Williams went to court last week to file an affidavit to get a $76,000 engagement ring back from girlfriend Brooke Daniels. The affidavit was filed because according to Williams he had asked for the ring back after Daniels refused his proposal. Brooke apparently told Williams that she lost the ring but after an insurance investigation it was later found out that Daniels father was holding the ring.

Brooke Daniels, is a former beauty pageant princess. She is beautiful, charming and a classy gem. As a Texas beauty Pageant winner one would assume any man proposing to the young lady would  know to "go big or Go Home." Was the proposal done in the middle of a Dallas Cowboy game? Was it during half time as a super surprise? Was it a romantic helicopter ride to some exotic country with wining dining, dancing and romancing? Ummm No, No and No...Apparently the proposal from Williams had come to Daniels in the mail. Yes, that is correct, you didn't read it wrong. It was sent to her in the mail. It was sent along with $5000 meant for dental bills and school. Along with the money was a gift for her brother and then , of course, the marriage proposal. Perhaps the reasons behind her decline for marriage had to do with the way he chose to propose. While Williams may be a pro wide receiver, and a football super star, he is surly lacking in the creative department when it comes to marriage proposals.

Roy, when you are courting a lovely lady such as Brooke Daniels, perhaps it would be best if you put a tiny bit of thought into your proposal. Maybe the reason Daniels didn't give back the ring was because she was hoping for a little creativity, courtesy and perhaps even a bit of common sense when it comes to popping the big question. My advice for Roy would be to forget about the affidavit and try something romantic. Sweep the lovely lady off her feet and attempt  to try asking again. This time with a little thought and prep and a LOT of creative attention behind the deliverance. She may just decline again but at least then she won't have to tell her closest friends and family how much you failed in the romantic department. Sorry Roy Williams for football skills you get SNAPs but as far as marriage proposals go you're getting the GAG thumbs down.

1. Always make sure that every thought that POPS in your head ..comes straight out of your mouth,
that way no other housewife can accuse you of talking behind her back about her! ( pretty smart)

2. Make sure to call everyone DARLING, it simply makes you sound more important...Darling...

3. Always be sure to OVER dramatize your emotions, it makes even the pettiest of problems seem so much more pertinent! (ex. plow down the stairs repeating "I must speak to you AT ONCE!, Now, Now Now")...FYI We wouldn't watch if it wasn't dramatic ...so keep up the drama girls!!!

4. Use the word "WEIRD" 100 - 200 times a day when you don't like someones behavior..(after all if you say it enough times maybe others will start to believe it as well)...We love housewives even when they act weird!....we love them flaws and all!!!

5. Always keep a great big smile on your face when insulting other housewives, especially when pointing out something embarrassing or extremely hurtful...that way others will think you have good intentions.. GENIUS! Why didn't I think of this policy!

6. Make sure to forget to tell the housewives you don't like what time dinner begins ... that way when they are late or do not show up you now have a legitimate reason to pretend you are mad at them!

7.You must hire an assistant to perform all the duties a housewife has no time to perform...such as: cooking, cleaning, taking care of the children etc....assistants are a MUST for all Housewives!

8.Make the assumption that because you are now on TV that you automatically have other talents such as: singing, dancing and making videos

9. ALWAYS remember when you are insulting another housewife to assure her you are trying to help her by telling her ALL her faults (You'll feel better about yourself and then you can talk about her behind her back to the other housewives and tell them you were only trying to help her) GOOD TIMES!!

10. Most Important Advice of Housewives in NY:

ALWAYS supply your guests with Pi not Grigio!!

DON'Ts
1.Never forget there is a "Pecking Order" that a housewife must follow.
2. Never take a ride on an unstable camel...he may just kick you off when you least expect.
3. Never wear diamonds that aren't at least as large as the size of your ears. (A housewife must keep up appearances and diamond ARE a Housewife's best friend..DARLING)

4. Don't let your husband attend functions without his stylish variety of "moo moos" (eccentric IS the new black....DARLING!!!...

5. Don't let the other housewives see you before you have received your "liquid face lift"

6. Don't throw a surprise party for another housewife unless you can over dress ..ex..Expensive high end attire is a must ..fully equipped with full on feather Vegas girl head dress required!

7. Never use mean tweeting as a vice to upset other housewives, instead it is much classier to say awful things about others on National television...

8. When planning a party, never spend less money then the last housewife. It is all very important never to invite less people then the previous housewife! After all More money spent and more guests  =  Better NY housewife Party DARLING!!!

9. Never go over and hour without using the words ( forgive the spelling) "Ya Ha Bi Bi" ...It just makes you sound more traveled and "worldly"

Every day there is a new story or media buzz about rappers who get themselves into trouble. Some are arrested for alleged drug charges, some for violence, others for weapons, you name it the list goes on and on. Even more so many rappers are consistently criticized for their offensive use of profanities as well as extensive sexual content in their lyrics. While some of this information is in fact the truth and by no means are we giving rappers a free pass when it comes to breaking the law, we can however, try a glass is half full approach when it comes to writing and media attention about this particular group of artists.

I must admit when I approached some of my readers and filled them in on my plans of writing a piece about taking advice from rappers, I definitely had a mixture of reactions stemming from the tumultuous reputation most rappers have been given. None-the-less I decided to go forth researching in hopes to prove the regular readers wrong.

My first attempt at googling the many more popular rap artists was mediocre at best. What I found was exactly what I had been warned against. It was almost as if I was googling groups of ex and present convicts. That, along with a buffet of "do-gooder" groups who proactively attack rap artists for profanities and use of violence in their lyrics. But now I was more determined then ever to dig for even just one rap artist who uses his fame and fortune for good.

What I found astounded me and I was even more convinced that this was an article well worth writing.  Most rap artist have their own web sites for all to visit. Most are filled with famous lyrics bios, down loads, and tour dates by the thousands.. There is also a media frenzy of articles written on rappers. The content is exactly what you would expect it to be. Thousands of articles attacking the rappers about everything from law breaking to jail time to bad behavior.  But few are filled with facts about the good deeds these artists have accomplished. As I changed my approach and began to research a few foundations and charity functions I found famous rappers of many who donate millions of their own money and time whole heartedly to those in need.

Rapper Lil John who appeared on "Celebrity Apprentice" raised over $80,000 for his favorite charity "United Methodist Children's home" He was quoted saying "I"m rarely speechless, but I'm totally speechless today" when asked to speak about the money he raised. He also said "The goal was to raise awareness to this children's home, through the show ( Celebrity Apprentice) a lot of people got to learn about this home. Through the show, more people said they'll make more donations. I'm happy with that." Lil John was actually upset because his original goal of $100,000 was not met. That's says a great deal of good about the rap star. Lil John also released a song "Stand in the storm" with three of his co stars from the show, and all proceeds go toward the charity as well. Other popular rappers such as Eminem, Cee Lo Green, Rhianna, and Nicki Minaj raised $5 million to help the victims of Japan due to the devastating earthquake/tsunami that hit them in March of this year. They released a CD called "Songs for Japan" on April 4rth. Other groups like Black Eyed Peas, U2, Justin Bieber and Elton John contributed songs as well.

Eminem has been known for his work in many charities. He and Justin Timberlake were among many artists who's efforts helped the disaster victims of Joplin, Missouri when a swarm of tornado's destroyed hundreds of homes, buildings and killed over 150 people. Eminemm and Justin Timberlake also stripped down for a Cosmopolitan shoot that raised awareness for testicular cancer.

While rapper TI and his wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle have had their share of negative press the two also found time to host a luncheon called "For the Love of Our Fathers" to raise awareness and money for Alzheimer's. (a charity near and dear to the couple) Both TI and "Tiny" have relatives who have since passed on from Alzheimer's.

Rappers like "Tyga", Ciara, Nicki Minaj, and Chris Brown have released free Cd's and performed at charity concerts to raise money for various foundations worthy of their attention. Tyga and Chris Brown performed at the Virgina Stand Up event that raised money for the victims of Haiti as well.

Another popular artist Common started a foundation called "The Common ground Foundation". The charity raises money to help instill leadership qualities in our less advantaged youths. The rapper/musician/poet believes whole heartedly that all children should have empowering qualities.

This article can go on for pages listing the many good deeds, donating and volunteering that rappers have done in the past. We haven't even touched the tip of what these artists have done in our communities, for our less advantaged youth and for many millions of needy and deserving charities. True, it is easier to believe the bad press and one dimensional view of the press. As a society we simply love the stories that focus and dwell on the negatives. My advice goes out to the media and to the press. Maybe if we took a tad bit of time to research the rappers and for that matter all other artists as well, we would find that although negative press seems to sell slightly better, it is also important to treat others the way we would like to be treated. If someone spends the time to give back to a community or raise millions for those in need, perhaps it is well worth writing about. ... Thumbs Down for those who only report the raunchy negatives.... Reality shows have become increasingly popular over the years. Some are mindless, boring and not worth watching while others are even more entertaining then any Major Network prime time show could ever be. Amongst the top reality show frenzy are the Housewife series. Whether you're a fan of the kitty kats of the OC, the beauties of Beverly Hills, or the glamour girls of Jersey, there's no denying that Reality Housewives have made their mark on reality TV.

One of the favored Jersey housewives is modern matriarch Caroline Manzo. Caroline is a beautiful woman, loving wife, and incredible mother of three. There is no denying that with her big beautiful melt your heart smile and glamour girl good looks she is clearly physically a beauty. However Caroline's true beauty lies skin deep and comes out shining in the love she has for her family.

In a world where most mothers are career girls as well, many say that family comes first but few truly follow the motto. Mrs Manzo makes the "Family First " rule mandatory and her career falls second fiddle. While her children were growing up Caroline stayed home to nurture their needs. She taught them respect, to be well mannered and well behaved. And although Albie and Chris ( Caroline's sons) are now in their twenties and out on their own, as the show has progressed we have seen through the years that the boys still listen and come to Caroline when they need her. Lauren ( Carolines daughter) is still living at home but because of endless encouragement from her mother she is successfully fulfilling her dreams of "making it" as a make-up artist. Caroline allows her children to pick their own dreams, never forcing them into a family business ( owners of the Brownstone in Jersey) or telling them what she thinks they should do. She even once had encouraging words for son, Chris, when he had aspirations of opening a car wash/stripper club. Her only voice of reason to her son was to "make it a car wash/strip club that mama could visit and be proud of." In another episode Albie, her eldest had decided to leave law-school. Instead of showing disappointment and despair for her son  (as many Italian families would have done) she engaged him in a hug, gave him nurturing advice and lent him an ear to listen. She assured him all would be OK then tells him to find a field of work that better would suit him. She clearly encourages her children and offers them the best of her love and attention.

Although she is loving and warm she still wears the pants ( so to speak) when it comes to running the household. Immediately when you watch you realize when this matriarch speaks, all ears still to listen. Lauren puts it best when she said "my mom offers great advice, she can tell you to "F" off and say it with a smile on her face."

Caroline is #6 out of 11 brothers and sisters, she keeps in touch with her large family and also has a respectful and loving relationship with her longtime husband Albert. She is very vocal about working hard to make her marriage a meaningful marvelous one. They have mutual admiration for one another and both work equally hard to keep the marriage fresh and exciting. In season four Caroline turned down an invite to the popular Posche fashion show due to her dedication to the couples date night. Albert and Caroline take time out every week to spend an alone evening together. It's evident that Albert is clearly in love with his wife. Watch an episode or two and you will no doubt see the love between to the two.

The matriarch gives welcomed advice to her fellow housewives. She has a genuine concern for her friends as well as her family.  The depth of her warmth and her spectacular smile make a meaningful pair, and joined with the sassy side we sometimes get to see certainly make is easy to become a fan of the fabulous Mama Manzo.

Caroline Manzo, the matriarch, is a warm well intentioned woman. She is a loving wife, an amazing mother, and fabulous friend to those she holds dear. To the fans she'll always be a favorite of the "Jersey girls" and one hell of a Housewife. We love Team Caroline!... SNAPs for Caroline Manzo!!

Selena Gomez attended the New York film premier of her new movie, "Monte Carlo" on Thursday June 23,2011. The actress played two roles in the film. The first, Grace, a sweet down to earth American girl touring Europe with her two gal pals. And the second, Cordelia a stuffy pretentious British heiress who's fashionable with an accent. Gomez made a couple of comments insinuating the role of Cordelia was difficult to play but that she had great fun with the high-fashioned look of the heiress.

Selena has come a long way from her 2002 - 2006 recurring appearances on the show "Barney and Friends." Perhaps her most memorable role was playing Alex Ruzzo on the Disney show "Wizards of Waverly Place."

The actress/singer/entrepreneur has been an adorable addition to the acting world. Her perky personality, sweet girl next door demeanor, and instantly likable quality may just be a few of the reasons Selena Gomez has become a super star sensation. Sadly, cynics have stated that Selena has only won her claim to fame by riding the coat tails of boyfriend Justin Bieber. However facts don't lie and the fact remains that Gomez began her career far before Bieber was even on the radar. Surely Selena knows she is the envy of millions globally for her relationship with Justin. However, it isn't as though Bieber has the rough end of a deal. Ms Gomez is young, talented, beautiful and chalk full of super-sweet goodness. The relationship was destined to happen eventually. 

Gomez and Bieber have a great deal in common beside obvious fame and fortune they've achieved. The couple is always on their best behavior in public and both seem to steer completely clear of the "perpetual party life" so many other young stars become submerged in. In addition they are both well grounded and keep themselves surrounded with family and friends who give good advice and look out for their best interests. 

There is no sure way to tell if the relationship between Bieber and Gomez will become long lasting. Time will only tell. We can however be sure that even if the (sweet as a southern homemade pecan pie) "power couple" decides to call it quits, there's no doubt Ms Gomez will continue to surprise us with her talent. We haven't hit the tip of the ice burg with Selena Gomez quite yet. Her singing voice has a sound not unlike a lark or a nightingale. She has an amazing ability to lure an audience in with her elegant and simple presence. Her ethics of hard work, determination and drive can only clear a path for her success in the future.
