5 SIMPLE TIPS TO GET A VARIETY OF VEGGIES TO VANISH OFF YOUR CHILDS PLATE

We can all agree our children take second to none. As parents we only want the best for our beautiful babies. This of course includes the foods they eat as well as anything. Like many adults children learn quickly what flavors they can live with and without. Some are good eaters and will try anything. But most of us find ourselves with a slightly more finicky eater at our dinner tables.
Children grow seemingly overnight and because they grow so quickly its essential to load them up with proper vitamins and minerals. Fruits are jam packed with plenty of needed nutrients and make tasty treats for growing children. Getting your little loved one to eat different delicious fruits doesn't usually pose a challenge due to the sweet taste tend to prefer.
Various vegetables have vitamins great for growing happy healthy babies. The super challenge however, is getting the marvelous little munchkins to eat a variety of veggies. Unfortunately veggies lack the type of tastes our little tykes take well to. Years ago parents used a unique method to make veggies and other foods disappear on dinner plates. This prehistoric plan most often referred to as the"sit there til you re finished" plan seems slightly severe to some but none-the-less made the veggies vanish. Today, practical parents need a little less dramatic not to mention slightly less time consuming approach to vanishing veggies. Here are 5 fun and easy tips for the practical parents of today to get a variety of veggies to virtually vanish off your child's dinner plate.
1. MIX IT UP
Your child has a sweet tooth just like you do. While we do not want our children eating cookies cakes and cup cakes, there is no denying that foods that taste sweet are going to be liked by the little ones. As mentioned before fruits are usually loved by even the finickiest eaters. Even if your child doesn't eat a variety of fruits, its unusual for a child to refuse the sweet taste of all fruits. Let your child choose the fruits he/she likes and mix them in with the veggies on the dinner plate. As he/she is eating he may not notice you have mixed the two together and will just enjoy everything he/she has been given. As long as he/she tastes the sweetness of the fruit chances are your child will choose to eat the veggies without even noticing.
2. USE COLOR
Children love bright colors. Don't just put out veggies that are green or one color. Use a variety of veggies such as green red and yellow pepper pieces. If your child sees lots of lovely colors on hi/her plate he/she is more likely to eat what's in front of him/her.
3. LET THE CHILD CHOOSE
Children love to feel like they are a part of something. Next time you want the little one to eat his/her veggies. bring him/her to the store with you. Children are more likely to try something new if you allow them to make choices on their own.
4.SHAPES
Veggies may look boring and bland to a child. If you cut the veggies into fun appealing shapes your child will be more likely to feel he/she is eating something fun and exciting. Cutting cukes into little hearts or stars is a sure fire way to get your child excited over a variety of veggies.
5. FUNNY FACES NEVER FAIL
Once you have cut the veggies into fun shapes. Try arranging them in a funny face. Julienne the carrots so you can use it for hair. Cut celery into tiny pieces and spread it across the bottom to make a great big smile. Use green olives as eyes and if you get the green olives that have the pepper pieces in the middle then the funny face looks like it has eyeballs. Use your imagination and make as many funny faces as you can think of. Children need creativity. They will be having so much fun they will forget they are eating veggies Planning ahead is so important as a parent. before you know if you too will be bragging about vanishing veggies at your dinner table. Good Luck!!
