Measure a Mens Behavior/ How He Treats His Mother

Contrary to popular belief men are not all bad. Although it is easy to believe this fine fable. It's even easier to believe if you have just been through a bad break up or had your heart hurt by an insensitive malicious or mean man. When you are in your adolescences it is easy to look at the bad behavior of the boys your age and believe they will never grow up. They typically tease and taunt and though it may seem immature believe it or not this is typical behavior for teens at this age. Whether it seems true or not boys do eventually grow up and change however it may take some time before the teasing and taunting come anywhere close to an end.

Is your man a "mamas boy"
As boys become closer to the age of dating its important to remember that women ( or rather girls) will most likely mature much more rapidly then boys will. Girls in their teens typically try dating boys before they are necessarily ready. It might make boys slightly uncomfortable knowing that a girl he knows has feelings for him and truthfully he doesn't necessarily know how to act towards her. Hence, causing him to react immaturely and more often then not he has a tendency to turn her off. As he matures he begins to learn lessons on life and love from  his older brothers, his parents, his friends and eventually his bad behavior towards the opposite sex will discontinue. ( This takes longer for some then others)
As puberty comes to a close, time takes its tole and teens turn into men. They learn to act more appropriately and honorable towards a women. (some however never grow out of immaturity) Most men eventually learn how to love and respect a woman. The question remains though, How do you choose a man who is mature, respectful and will treat you the right way?
Most men learn how to treat a woman by watching their parents as they grow up. If you truthfully want to measure how a man will treat you in time, watch how he treats his mother. If he treats his mother with dignity, love and respect, then grab a hold to him as quickly as possible. Chances are he will treat you with the same respect and love he treats her with. On the other hand if he has bad blow ups and cursing wars with Mama then run for the hills ladies hes most likely not the Casanova you thought he was. This rule of thumb certainly does NOT apply to all men. There are plenty of good guys who have been the product of failed family life. In the same respect some men who treat their mamas like royalty turn out to be big babies. For the most part though the rule does apply.

When you're looking for a "good man" stand back a bit and watch how he works. See if he puts his family (especially his mother) on a pedestal. Watch his behavior around his sister and/or his gal pals. If
he tends to treat them truly
well then you can probably bet he will treat you even better. Try to remember that no man is perfect. They have flaws just as we all do. A terrific trick to getting a man to truly treat you right is to truly try to treat him that terrific way you'd like to be treated. Good Luck and let me know how it works out! 1goodadviceguru@gmail.com

ADVICE FOR A FRIEND WITH A BROKEN HEART

We all have heard it a thousand times...Tis better to have Loved and lost then to have never loved at all.
Words so easily said .. and yet so hard to believe. My dear friend whose heart is breaking I can only tell you that time heals all wounds and eventually you will feel better about this broken heart and you truly will learn to love again.
A broken heart or an ended romance can somehow feel like a fate worse then losing a loved one to death. I realize that the hurt seems to be hard right now and feels like it may never pass. Know that at once in every ones lives they have been there too. Be comforted by the knowledge that you are not alone we have all felt a hurt of a broken heart. The best part is that after time passed we all picked ourselves up and decided to make another attempt to find love again. Trust me my friend it is why we live. You feel hurt now but you will again feel the special childlike innocent carefree happy go lucky I'm on top of the world feeling that new love brings to us all.
After a break up the heart needs a little time to heal. It may hurt for a while but you cannot give up and assume this was your only chance to find love. This temporary set back only means that you are destined to find someone even more wonderful and special and perfectly suited to become your other half. Look at it this way my broken hearted friend. When you fell in love for the first time you felt the most alive and happiest you ever felt in your life. When the romance ended you felt broken and hurt. But, When you seek out again and find a lover more suitable for you then even the one you just lost, think how absolutely amazing and fantastic this new love will feel. Trust me when I tell you the saying is so very true. When it is real, you will know it and when you find it you will look back and laugh and feel silly that you even felt hurt at all. True love will find you.  Never give up on that because there is a perfect someone out there for everyone. Trust me your perfect mate is right now looking high and low to find a lover like you. Your mom was spot on, there are plenty of fish in the ocean. You just have to swim through the ocean a little before you come out with the perfect match. Good luck my friend. Promise never to give up on looking for love and promise you will let me know when you find it. I just know you will!

5 GREAT EXCUSES TO POLITELY REMOVE YOURSELF FROM AN UNCOMFORTABLE CONVERSATION

There is nothing more aggravating then finding yourself wrapped up in an uncomfortable conversation. Whether they mean to or not, we all have that one fearless friend who for some unknown reason believes that she/he should share every intimate detail about his/her life with practically everyone. Don't get the wrong impression here, there is absolutely nothing wrong with having an outgoing vivacious personality and wanting to work a room now and again. But becoming the bell of the ball to gain the love and attention of those surrounding you and blatantly gushing out your guts for all to see or hear are two very different things indeed. There are some people who simply ooze personality from every pore. With every word they seem to lure you near, waiting with bated breath for what they'll say next. They have the special gift of gab, and not only gab, but seemingly gorgeous gab. They have the ability to speak about and say anything at all and make it sound utterly attractive and sensational. Somehow they know exactly how to keep a curious crowd entertained touching on even the most risque of subjects but without offending or embarrassing anyone in the process.  That being said there is a very thin and ultra fine line between those with the "gift or gorgeous gab" and those without it.
When you find yourself in an awkward and entirely inappropriate conversation with someone you truly love and respect, it poses a serious problem for some to let a friend know that they need to plug up ( so to speak) their diarrhea of the mouth. We are not all like The Real Housewives" and feel comfortable blurting out to our friends that we think they need to stay zip lipped. After all if the person speaking is a friend or even an associate or co worker it seems a bit harsh to silence them abruptly resulting in hurt feelings or wounded friendships. If you have the kind of relationship that allows abruptness and speaking your mind then there really isn't a dilemma. However, if you are like most and want to spare ugliness and hurt feelings then here are a few simple tips on how to handle this extremely unpleasant situation.
1. If you know the person extremely well and you know for a fact that anything you say won't be taken sensitively then you may politely let the person know that you are uncomfortable discussing subjects such as the unique one being discussed.
2. Politely excuse yourself from the situation. Claim you see an old dear friend you haven't spoken to in years and will promise to catch up with the fascinating story a little later. ( This of course only works in very crowded parties filled with guests not everyone is familiar with.)
3. Politely tell this person you are so very sorry but you must use the little girl/boy(s) room. Ask the person to forgive you for interrupting them but exclaim you just cannot wait another moment to use the powder room. Then vow to them you will be back at a later time to hear the colorful story they were telling. When returning from the powder room try to use a different route to return to where you came from. Avoid using eye contact upon your return and hopefully by that time they will have moved on to someone new.
4. Confess that you have a very important project or "special situation" that needs your undivided immediate attention. Excuse yourself politely and claim you'll be available another time to continue the conversation. (Of course at this point you need to flee as quickly as possible)
5. Quickly peer down at your phone. Claim that you have felt it vibrating. Cheerfully say "Hello" and begin a nonchalant "How are you,so glad you called me back!" Then politely excuse yourself and tell your chit chatty guest that you must take this call at that very moment. Then promise you will continue listening to the stimulating story at a later date.
(Quick tip) If you are faking a phone call remember 2 very important items: 1. Make sure to have your phone on VIBRATE so it does not ring during your "fake phone call" and 2. Keep in mind the conversation is a phony one. Be careful not to OVER act so you avoid an even more uncomfortable outcome for all.

ADVICE FOR AMY

AMYS QUESTION:

I am in my 3rd years of college. My boyfriend and I have been dating for 6 months now. We have a great time together and we get along really well. Lately though, he has been getting really mad at me when I want to hang out with my friends. He says I spend to much time with them and he feel excluded. We go out at least 2 times a week and we see each other everyday because we go to the same school. I like him a lot and really don't want to lose him. What should I do?

RESPONSE TO AMY:

College is one of the most exciting times of your life. After college the "real world" takes charge and the fun times are put on a back burner for a while. As a junior I imagine you are buried in books and up to your ears in work. Blowing off some steam and letting loose with your gal pals should be a welcoming release from the perpetual pressures of turn papers and rigorous research. The close mates you make in college tend to stick around even after you graduate and soon become life-long chums. If your boyfriend is irritated by them after only 6 months you can count on his irritation growing even more as time moves on. Having a great guy who you get along well with certainly ads a little skip to your giddy-up and boosts the self confidence. But, if he's always on your case about the fun times you want to share with your friends he may not be the "great guy" you think he is.

You should bring the matter to his attention and let him know his issues with your "time management" are in fact just that ..his issues. You spend your days working hard trying to earn your education. You have given him at the very least 2 nights during the week and make it a point to see him daily. At this point there really isn't any more you can offer up. He may just surprise you, apologize for his immature insecurities and beg you to forget he said anything at all. However, if he continues to critisize you and this arrangement isn't working for him then perhaps you two crazy kids just aren't the perfectly paired couple you thought you were. Trust me sweety this guy isn't the chosen massiah of men. There are plenty of "tools" in the shed and the sharpest ones don't sweat the nuts and bolts. Good Luck Amy.
